Photon-photon correlations from a pair of strongly coupled two-level emitters

چکیده

We investigate two-color photon correlations in the light emitted by two strongly driven, interacting two-level emitters. The are interpreted introducing collective dressed states picture, which allows us to describe both bunching and antibunching based on allowed prohibited transitions. At odds from weakly emitters, strong interaction lifts degeneracy of energy differences between different states, leading a temporal breaking symmetry for correlations: photons frequencies may not be any order. Finally, we show that most virtual processes, involve pairs photons, yield nonclassical when sum their energies fits interaction-induced sidebands spectrum. In particular, depending frequency enough violate Bell inequalities can appear.

Strongly correlated two-photon transport in a one-dimensional waveguide coupled to a two-level system.

We show that two-photon transport is strongly correlated in one-dimensional waveguide coupled to a two-level system. The exact S matrix is constructed using a generalized Bethe-ansatz technique. We show that the scattering eigenstates of this system include a two-photon bound state that passes through the two-level system as a composite single particle. Also, the two-level system can induce eff...

Quantum-classical transition of photon correlations of two coupled cavities

We study the difference between quantum and classical behavior in a pair of nonidentical cavities with second-harmonic generation. In the classical limit, each cavity has a limit-cycle solution, in which the photon number oscillates periodically in time. Coupling between the cavities leads to synchronization of the oscillations and classical correlations between the cavities. In the quantum lim...

One-Dimensional Waveguide Coupled to Multiple Qubits: Photon-Photon Correlations

For a one-dimensional (1D) waveguide coupled to two or three qubits, we show that the photon-photon correlations have a wide variety of behavior, with structure that depends sensitively on the frequency and on the qubit-qubit separation L. We study the correlations by calculating the second-order correlation function g2(t) in which the interference among the photons multiply scattered from the ...

Phonon-Assisted Two-Photon Interference from Remote Quantum Emitters

Photonic quantum technologies are on the verge of finding applications in everyday life with quantum cryptography and quantum simulators on the horizon. Extensive research has been carried out to identify suitable quantum emitters and single epitaxial quantum dots have emerged as near-optimal sources of bright, on-demand, highly indistinguishable single photons and entangled photon-pairs. In or...
